It's finally here! With Bag & Tag rapidly approaching, we've had a really busy weekend.

We had a problem with our bot's arm and had to do a bit of a redesign, but the issue was quickly resolved and we're back on schedule. Our secret weapon has been mounted and is fully operational!

After the diligent work our students have put into it, we've finally submitted our Chairman's Award application! In our time as a team, we've made a big impact on our community through various programs we've put on, including starting an FTC team at our local middle school and putting together a STEM summer camp, and we hope to highlight these achievements in our submission for the award.

Our robot is almost ready for the Bag & Tag deadline, and we're really excited to be able to showcase all of our hard work at the first tournament!

We've had another busy week! The team has had a great time.

Our robot's structure is coming together, and we have continued to develop our code. This week, we have built our final chassis. With the combination of our robot's nearly complete final structure and the code we have developed, we are looking forward to lots of time to test and perfect our coding and driving.

Our scouting strategy has been established. A team of leaders has drafted comprehensive match and pit scouting sheets. Each member of our scouting team has been taught the basics of our robot's mechanics. Over the next few days, students will be taking a quiz on our robot's parts and strategy. This will ensure that every member of our team will have the knowledge necessary for being a fully-functioning member at competitions.

As always, we're excited for competition season. This year, we're going to be better than ever!

The past few weeks have been pretty busy. We have not only been building the robot but also working with other elements of our team. Our second annual spaghetti feed and silent auction event was a success, and a thanks goes out to everyone who turned up supported Team SWAG!

One thing we're excited for is PRINTING. The 3D printer is up and running, and we've had fun making things--and admittedly just staring at it work--for both the robot and our team.

It's not all fun and games though, and some serious progress has been made. The designing phase is finished and the building phase has commenced! A working and tested prototype has been developed, and we're very happy with how it's going. We're pumped for making even more progress! Preparations are being made for the robot, and the arena and pit are being worked on by our wonderful building team and pit crew.

And, of course, as a bunch of high school students, we're grateful for all of the parents and members who have brought great food to fuel the team, and members working on making sure we have a clean place to store it.

All in all, great student minds have been working hard on making the team's vision come to life this week, with minimal distraction from our awesome 3D printer. We're definitely looking forward to competition and events this year!
